Patients with hyperthyroidism not to eat more salt

At the recent activity of prevention day of iodine deficiency, the city open 50 sites which is fixed-point to sale non-iodized salt. Because of the changes of public recipe and the promotion of iodized salt, phenomenon of non-iodized is improved fundamentally, and the hyperthyroidism patients need to control iodine intake. So experts suggested that people should best to eat non-iodized salt.

Iodine is a kind of trace elements that the body must intake from the outside. The main function in the body is to take part in the synthesis of thyroid hormone. If income is not enough, it may produce a series of diseases. It may cause endemic goiter, cretinism and Yake Ting diseases, and even cause premature birth, miscarriage, or stillbirth, and fetal malformation and other hazards.

It should be scientific and rational to intake iodine. It is not reasonable that human intake more iodine. It may also cause harm, such as iodine goiter and other diseases. As increase pressure of work and accelerate pace of life, number of patients with hyperthyroidism and other thyroid diseases are increasing in recent years. It should control the intake of iodine for those already suffering from hyperthyroidism or a family history of the populations concerned.
